Eagles signed seventh-round DT LaJaun Ramsey to a four-year contract.
Ramsey was part of a lackluster defense at USC. He’ll compete for a roster spot in training camp.

Eagles DT LaJaun Ramsey bulked up to 305 pounds this offseason.
Ramsey attended “Get Big” camp at USC and put on roughly 20 pounds. The second-year player will likely be Philadelphia’s fifth tackle this season.
  • NYG Defensive Lineman
Eagles DE Jerome McDougle suffered a strained triceps in Monday’s loss. DT LaJuan Ramsey left in the second quarter with a high ankle sprain.
Both will undergo MRIs on Tuesday. McDougle is unlikely to make the Birds’ roster barring several injuries in front of him. Ramsey is a good bet to stick.

Rams claimed DT LaJuan Ramsey off waivers from the Titans.
Ramsey is familiar with Rams coach Steve Spagnuolo’s scheme, having played for him while Spags was an assistant in Philadelphia. The Rams are thin up the gut after losing starting under tackle Adam Carriker for the year.

Rams DT LaJuan Ramsey got most of the work with the starters in practice Wednesday.
Ramsey will get the first crack at replacing Gary Gibson (ankle), who is out for the season. Third-round rookie Dorell Scott will also take reps. St. Louis is highly vulnerable up the middle with SS James Butler (knee) questionable for Week 6. Expect a bounce-back game for Maurice Jones-Drew.

Colts signed DT LaJuan Ramsey, formerly of the 49ers.
Ramsey (6'3/300) adds much needed girth to the back of Indy’s rotation.
  • FA Running Back #31
49ers released RB Thomas Clayton, DT Atiyyah Ellison, LB Dennis Haley, FB Moran Norris, DT LaJuan Ramsey, T Alan Reuber, and WR Cameron Colvin.
Clayton ran well in San Francisco’s exhibition finale and has practice squad eligibility remaining. Zak Keasey will be their starting fullback in ’08.

Eagles released DT LaJuan Ramsey, LB Gary Butler, DT Jeremy Clark, CB Tanard Davis, WR Terrell Golden, QB Casey Hansen, DE Xzavie Jackson, DE A.J. Schable and LB Markell Staffieri.
There is a new 80-man roster limit heading into camp, so we will get an early round of cuts over the next few weeks. Ramsey once was part of the Eagles defensive tackle rotation two years back.
