Lions agreed to terms with OL Larry Borom, formerly of the Dolphins.
Borom started a career-high 11 games for the Dolphins last season, earning a PFF blocking grade of 67.1 while allowing just 15 sacks and two pressures. All of his snaps came at right tackle, but he has experience at both tackle positions. It’s possible this will turn out to be more of a depth signing, but Borom could have a chance to compete for the starting left tackle spot with Giovanni Manu currently be listed in that spot.
  • MIA Tackle #75
Dolphins agreed to terms with OT Larry Borom, formerly of the Bears.
Borom has played a swing tackle role for the Bears since they drafted him in the fifth round of the 2021 NFL Draft. He has 27 career starts across four seasons split primarily between right and left tackle. Borom does have a few reps at both guard spots in the NFL as well. He should slot into a backup role for the Dolphins.
  • DET Offensive Lineman
Bears RT Larry Borom (concussion) will play Week 9 against the Dolphins.
Borom ended up just missing one game with a concussion. He will slot right back in as the starting right tackle.

  • DET Offensive Lineman
Bears declared OT Larry Borom, DB Lamar Jackson, TE Jake Tonges and WR Isaiah Coulter inactive for Week 8 against the Cowboys.
The Bears had just two players on the injury report ahead of their Week 8 matchup with the Cowboys, including Borom, who was ruled out on Saturday. Nothing major to see here from a fantasy perspective.

Bears RT Larry Borom (concussion) will not play Week 8 against the Cowboys.
Borom had solidified the right tackle spot in Chicago, so this is a blow to an offensive line that has to stare down Dallas’ fierce pass rush this week. Veteran Riley Reiff will likely get the start with Borom out. Chicago also lost starting C Lucas Patrick to injured reserve this week.

  • DET Offensive Lineman
Bears placed RT Larry Borom on the reserve/COVID-19 list.
It is rough timing for Chicago with LT Jason Peters likely to sit due to an ankle injury. If that happened, there was some thought Borom will fill in on the left side after fellow rookie Teven Jenkins struggled against the Packers. Now it looks like the Bears will be forced to go another direction.

  • SEA Front Office #73
Bears LT Jason Peters suffered an ankle injury Week 14 against the Packers.
Peters left in the first quarter and never returned. Coach Matt Nagy said the injury is something the team will have to monitor. Rookie Teven Jenkins did not look up to the task of filling in for Peters, and Nagy did not rule out swapping RT Larry Borom to the left side if Peters is forced to miss time.

  • DET Offensive Lineman
Bears OT Larry Borom (ankle) returned to practice Wednesday.
Borom landed on injured reserve after suffering an ankle injury in Week 1. He might need some time to get back into game shape, but coach Matt Nagy did not rule out Borom returning to the lineup this week. Once he is ready, Borom will likely take over the starting right tackle spot. It is good news for an offensive line that could use some help.

  • DET Offensive Lineman
Bears placed OT Larry Borom on injured reserve with a left ankle injury.
It’s a high-ankle sprain. The fifth-round rookie was filling in for injured LT Jason Peters last Sunday evening when he went down. Veteran Peters is questionable for Sunday’s game against the Bengals with his quad issue. If Peters can’t go, Elijah Wilkinson will get the Week 2 start. Borom had been drawing hype as a potential starter even before Peters’ injury, so his loss is a big blow.

  • CLE Guard #74
Speaking Wednesday, Matt Nagy informed reporters that LT Teven Jenkins will have back surgery.
The Bears hope “to have him back this season,” but losing Jenkins, who was the presumed starter, is a big loss for Chicago. The Bears traded up in the second round of this year’s draft to select Jenkins, who profiled as an immediate starter. His back surgery now scrambles the offensive line plan on what was already viewed as a sub-par unit. Chicago will now likely turn to Elijah Wilkinson and fifth-round rookie Larry Borom. It’s possible however, that their starting left tackle is not currently on the roster.
