Bills signed DT Larry Ogunjobi, formerly of the Steelers, to a one-year, $8.3 million contract.
Ogunjobi will miss the Bills’ first six games of the 2025 NFL season due to a performance-enhancing drugs (PED) issue. He can make up to $10 million via incentives. Ogunjobi totaled 14 quarterback pressures, two sacks and 22 tackles, six of which for a loss or no gain. He joins a burgeoning Bills defensive line rotation. Recent free agent-signee, EDGE Michael Hoecht was also suspended for six games, due to PEDs.
  • FA Defensive Tackle #99
    Steelers released DT Larry Ogunjobi.
The release of Ogunjobi frees up $7 million in cap space for the Steelers, who will also take on a $3.5 million dead cap hit. The veteran defensive tackle totaled 41 tackles and 1.5 sacks last season while starting 12-of-15 games. Ogunjobi was graded as one of the worst tackles in the league last season, per PFF, while playing on the second-fewest defensive snaps in his career. While he doesn’t look like the player of years past, Ogunjobi could still be a lower-division starter or rotational player in 2025.
  • PIT EDGE #99
Larry Ogunjobi (groin) has been upgraded from questionable status and will have no injury designation for Week 5 against the Cowboys.
Ogunjobi has been a key piece in the middle of the Steelers defense this season. He has 14 total tackles, a half sack and three quarterback hits in four games this year.
  • PIT Defensive Tackle #99
Steelers DT Larry Ogunjobi (foot) did not participate in practice on Wednesday.
Ogunjobi has been a stalwart for the Steelers’ defensive line this season. If he cannot go against the Texans in Week 4, it will be a blow to the team’s interior defensive disruption.
  • BUF Defensive Tackle #99
Steelers re-signed DT Larry Ogunjobi to a three-year, $28.75 million contract.
Ogunjobi had been playing on a one-year deal after a three-year deal with the Bears fell apart because of a failed physical. He went to start 16 games and take up space in the middle of the field as a two-down specialist. Ogunjobi isn’t quite the star he seemed like he might develop into early in his career, but he’s still an above average interior option.

  • Cornerback
Steelers CB Cameron Sutton suffered a hamstring injury and won’t return against the Bills.
The Steelers also ruled out defensive tackle Larry Ogunjobi with a back issue. Sutton has played all but a handful of snaps for the Steelers this season. He has two interceptions. Buffalo didn’t need any help putting points on the board, but a few injuries to Pittsburgh’s defense won’t hurt.

Steelers signed DT Larry Ogunjobi to a one-year deal.
Quick visit. Ogunjobi finds a home after having his three-year, $40.5 million deal with the Bears fall apart after a failed physical. He’ll likely mostly be replacing the retired Stephon Tuitt inside. It’s a nice find for the Steelers this deep into free agency, at least as long as what we don’t know about that physical isn’t imminently threatening Ogunjobi’s status.

Free agent DL Larry Ogunjobi is visiting the Steelers.
Ogunjobi’s three-year, $40.5 million deal with the Bears fell apart at the last minute in March when Ogunjobi failed a physical. He then visited with the Jets, who did not sign the veteran after days of talks. He recorded a career-high seven sacks for the Bengals in 2021 before suffering a late-season foot injury. If he signs with Pittsburgh, Ogunjobi would play his former team twice in 2022.

Free agent DT Larry Ogunjobi is visiting the Jets on Tuesday.
Per Adam Schefter’s report, he’s spent each of the last two days with the Jets. Ogunjobi had a $40.5 million deal voided by a flunked physical, but is a steady rotation lineman who can provide some interior pass rush. Ogunjobi would be a fine depth addition.

Bears are not signing DT Larry Ogunjobi after a failed physical.
Ogunjobi had reportedly agreed to a three-year deal worth $40.5 million before the failed physical that submarined the agreement. The issue seems to be a foot injury that raised serious concerns among the Bears’ training staff. Coming off a career-best seven sacks for the Bengals in 2021, Ogunjobi was an impressive addition to Chicago’s defense, the fourth-best pass rushing unit last season, per Pro Football Focus. Ogunjobi will certainly sign with someone in the coming weeks, perhaps at a reduced rate thanks to the foot injury.
