    Buccaneers restructured Luke Goedeke’s contract.

The Bucs converted $20 million of Goedeke’s roster bonus into a signing bonus to clear $15.2 million in cap space for 2026. The fourth-year lineman signed a four-year, $90 million contract extension last offseason and appeared in 11 games last season after a foot injury sidelined him for multiple weeks. Goedeke earned a PFF blocking grade of 75.8 last season and did not allow a sack despite giving up 22 pressures.

Buccaneers designated RT Luke Goedeke (foot) for return from injured reserve.

The Buccaneers will have 21 days to activate Goedeke from injured reserve, so he’s not a lock to be rushed back by Week 10 when the Bucs face the Patriots. Goedeke is one of a handful of key players along the Buccaneers’ offensive line who have missed most of this season, but those who have filled in have done so nicely for Baker Mayfield and company. Goedeke allowed five pressures on the 46 pass blocking snaps he appeared on this season and has allowed nine sacks over the last two years.

Buccaneers placed RT Luke Goedeke (foot) on injured reserve.

Goedeke is expected to return later this season. He will be eligible to do so after missing four games. It’s a brutal development for a Buccaneers offensive line that also lost RG Cody Mauch to a season-ending knee injury. Buccaneers LT Tristan Wirfs (knee) has not yet suited up on game day. He remains limited in practice.

Bucs LT Tristan Wirfs (knee) was limited in Wednesday’s practice.

Wirfs was limited for the first two practices of Week 2 before being downgraded to a DNP on Saturday. He was then ruled out. The late-week DNP was part of their plan for his rehab from the knee injury, but it also means a limited practice on Wednesday doesn’t necessarily put him on track to suit up. Right tackle Luke Goedeke also missed Wednesday’s practice with a foot issue that knocked him out of Week 2’s win over the Texans. Right guard Cody Mauch missed today’s practice as well. It’s a nightmare runout for this offensive line. The cluster of injuries makes Baker Mayfield and the rest of the Bucs’ fantasy options slightly worse bets for Week 3.

ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reports Buccaneers RT Luke Goedeke (foot) is expected to miss “multiple weeks.”

Goedeke came into Week 2’s game with a foot injury that he had barely practiced on, then aggravated it in-game and Charlie Heck took over at right tackle. Heck would appear to be the backup plan for the Buccaneers for the forseeable future while Goedeke is out.

Luke Goedeke (foot) did not practice on Thursday.

Nine days after getting an extension, Tampa’s stalwart right tackle pops up on the injury report with a new injury. Coach Todd Bowles said he is “hopeful” Goedeke can play, and Goedeke did play all 58 snaps on Sunday. His absence would be huge for a line already missing Tristan Wirfs against a fearsome Texans front on Monday night.

Buccaneers signed RT Luke Goedeke to a four-year, $90 million contract extension.

Goedeke was selected in the second round of the 2022 NFL Draft by the Bucs, becoming a key part of the offensive line. He started all 30 games that he played over the last two seasons and finished 2024 with a 76.4 PFF run-blocking grade, No. 18 amongst offensive tackles. Entering the final year of his rookie deal, Goedeke now gets an extension done and the Bucs get to keep a key piece of the offensive line for the foreseeable future. ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reports the deal is worth $90 million over four years, with $50 million guaranteed.

Bucs RT Luke Goedeke (concussion) is expected to play in Week 6 against the Saints.

Center Graham Barton (hamstring) has been ruled out. Goedeke has been out for a few weeks with a concussion. Head coach Todd Bowles said he will play, “barring any setbacks.” Overall, the Bucs are getting healthy ahead of their divisional matchup with the Saints.

Buccaneers ruled out Trey Palmer (concussion) for Week 5 against the Falcons

The Buccaneers are without their Nos. 3 (Jalen McMillan) and 4 (Palmer) WRs this week, condensing the passing tree to star wide receivers, Mike Evans and Chris Godwin. T Luke Goedeke (concussion) was also ruled out this week.

Bucs DT Calijah Kancey (calf) will not play in Week 3 against the Broncos.

Head coach Todd Bowles also ruled out right tackle Luke Goedeke (concussion) and safety Antoine Winfield Jr. (foot/ankle). Justin Skule will start at right tackle, but Bowles noted that the Bucs could use a rotation to fill Goedeke’s spot. Kancey has now missed the first three weeks of the season because of his lingering hamstring issue.
