Mason Taylor caught 5-of-8 targets for 51 yards in the Jets’ Week 14 loss to the Dolphins.
Taylor was the top pass-catcher for the Jets, becoming a security blanket for Brady Cook. He was on the receiving end of Tyrod Taylor’s interception, tipping a pass that was a bit behind him for the Dolphins to pick off. With Cook in the game, Taylor saw intermediate and short-area targets in an effort to create yards in a simplified offense. The high volume is encouraging for Taylor, though his ceiling is capped in a rough quarterback situation and low-scoring offense. He is in the TE2 range for Week 15 against the Jaguars.

Mason Taylor caught 2-of-5 targets for 21 yards in the Jets’ Week 13 win over the Falcons.
This was the second straight game Taylor produced exactly 21 yards, and third straight he failed to exceed 30. 21-year-old Taylor has shown plenty of rookie promise, but with uber-limited passer Justin Fields swapped out for Tyrod Taylor, the Jets are now trying to see what they have in receiver projects AD Mitchell and John Metchie. That has Taylor outside the top 24 at tight end heading into Week 14 against the Dolphins.

Mason Taylor caught 3-of-5 targets for 21 yards in the Jets’ Week 12 loss to the Ravens.
Taylor dropped the first target of the afternoon that game his way, but hauled in one catch on three-straight drives to get to his final line. As far as fantasy is concerned, Taylor hasn’t done anything of note since going for 5-34-1 against the Bengals, and he hasn’t topped 34 receiving yards since Week 4. Fantasy managers can leave him on waivers for Week 13’s game against the Falcons.

Mason Taylor caught 4-of-4 targets for 30 yards in the Jets’ Week 11 loss to the Patriots.
It was business as usual for Taylor, who has now gone for 34 or fewer yards in three of his last four games. The rookie tight end is a reliable safety blanket for Justin Fields, but has seen his fantasy stock slip a bit since his 12-target game against the Cowboys in Week 5 against the Cowboys. Fantasy managers in desperate need of help at tight end should continue to avoid Taylor, who has averaged just 4.8 targets per game since Week 7.

Mason Taylor caught 1-of-2 targets for four yards in the Jets’ Week 10 win over the Browns.
Taylor’s one reception ... tied for the team lead. Justin Fields was just that bad in what was somehow a win. Taylor has been catching 3-4 passes more weeks than not as a rookie, but “than not” might become more frequent if the Jets don’t make the switch to Tyrod Taylor. Regardless of who is under center for Thursday’s short-week matchup with the Patriots, Taylor doesn’t have a great top-18 case right now.

Mason Taylor (quad) is practicing in full for Week 10 against the Browns.
Taylor was playing through the quad issue before the Jets’ Week 9 bye. A full practice suggests it’s a non-issue for the rookie at this point. With Garrett Wilson likely back this week, Taylor’s days as the Jets’ de facto WR1 are likely at an end. He will be a mid-range TE2 versus the Browns.

Mason Taylor caught 5-of-8 targets for 34 yards and a touchdown in the Jets’ Week 8 win over the Bengals.
Taylor led the Jets in targets, logging a 24 percent target share with Josh Reynolds and Garrett Wilson out. He hadn’t done much with the inflated role going into the Jets’ final drive. When his team needed him the most, the rookie stepped up with a three-yard catch to move the chains in the red zone and a touchdown inside the two-minute warning. The throw came from Breece Hall, who tossed a floater to Taylor on a trick play. Taylor pulled the pass off Bengals corner DJ Turner’s helmet for a game-winning score. The Jets are on bye next week and Wilson shoud be back to face the Browns in Week 10. With increased competition for targets, Taylor will likely slide back into the TE2 ranks when he next takes the field.

Breece Hall (knee) is active for Week 8 against the Bengals.
Tight end Mason Taylor is also active, as expected. Expect both players to be heavily involved this week with Garrett Wilson and Josh Reynolds out. Hall remains in the RB1 ranks while Taylor is a high-risk TE1. Inactive for the Jets are CB Sauce Gardner, QB Tyrod Taylor, WR Garrett Wilson, KR Kene Nwangwu, DT Jay Tufel,e TE Stone Smartt and LB Kobe King.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports Mason Taylor (quad) is expected to play in Week 8 against the Bengals.
The Jets have ruled out Garrett Wilson and placed Josh Reynolds on injured reserve over the weekend. Taylor and Tyler Johnson will be Justin Fields’ top wideouts for Week 8. Though we don’t expect much passing output from the Jets this week, Taylor will play a de facto WR1 role for his team because of the injuries. That alone puts him in the streaming mix for Week 8.

Jets HC Aaron Glenn said Mason Taylor (quad) is questionable for Week 8 against the Bengals.
Taylor was a surprise addition to Thursday’s injury report. The rookie tight end reportedly injured his quad during the session, but Glenn said on Friday that he was trending in the right direction entering the weekend. With six teams on bye this week, Taylor, who has seen five or more targets in four games this season, could have some streaming upside in PPR leagues against a defense that’s allowing the second-most points per game this season.
