Browns WR Michael Woods (Achilles) will likely miss the entirety of the 2023 season.
Woods suffered the injury in an offseason workout with Deshaun Watson. Woods was active for 10 games last season, seeing 155 offensive snaps and contributing on special teams. The 2022 sixth-rounder will likely face a fight to make the roster in 2024 if they hold on to him through the injury.

Browns WR Michael Woods (illness, hamstring) has been ruled out for Week 1 against the Panthers.
Woods was listed as questionable on the Browns’ injury report. The sixth-round rookie has been sidelined since the first week of August. Woods not going on IR means the Browns expect him to return before Week 4.

Browns WR Michael Woods (hamstring) was cleared to practice.
Woods went through receiver drills for the first time since a setback with his hamstring in early August. The sixth-round rookie made the Browns’ 53-man roster despite missing most of OTAs and the preseason. Returning to practice is a good sign for Woods’ chances of being ready for Week 1.

  • FA Wide Receiver #12
Browns sixth-round WR Michael Woods will be sidelined “some time” with a hamstring injury.
This could hinder the Day 3 prospect’s odds of making the 53-man roster, though the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports the Oklahoma product has been the “No. 1 standout among young players in training camp.” Woods has apparently displayed “good speed, hands and toughness.” Be that as it may, he is a name for only the deepest of Dynasty leagues.

Browns selected Oklahoma WR Michael Woods with the No. 202 overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft.
Woods (6'1/204) spent three years at Arkansas before transferring to Oklahoma for the 2021 campaign, catching 35 passes for 400 yards and two scores after producing a solid 32-619-5 line in 10 games for the Razorbacks in 2020. Woods ran a 4.55 at the Combine with a 34.5-inch vertical and a solid 10-foot-5 broad jump. Stiffed hipped and lacking real deep speed, Woods is a boundary receiver who might not have the requisite traits to actually sick on a 53-man roster, though the Browns lack depth at wideout.
