Raiders re-signed TE Nick Bowers to a one-year contract.

Bowers appeared in five games last year but only saw work as a blocker and special teams contributor. He will fight for a roster spot and TE3 duties in 2022.

Raiders declared RB Josh Jacobs, LG Richie Incognito, LB Nick Kwiatkoski, S Roderic Teamer, TE Nick Bowers, G Jordan Simmons, and DT Damion Square inactive for Week 2 against the Steelers.

Jacobs didn’t practice all week after hurting his toe and ankle Monday night against Baltimore. He never had a chance to suit up for Week 2. Peyton Barber is expected to take on the primary early-down role for Vegas with Jacobs sidelined, and Kenyan Drake will remain the team’s pass-catching back. Drake’s potential for extra run gives him some sneaky upside in PPR formats only. Barber should be considered a last-ditch option who won’t offer much without a touchdown against the Steelers.

Raiders signed TE Nick Bowers, K Dominik Eberle, DB Rashaan Gaulden, DE Gerri Green, OL Jaryd Jones-Smith, OL Erik Magnuson, LB James Onwualu, DT Niles Scott, T Kamaal Seymour, DB Kemah Siverand and LB Javin White to reserve/future contracts.

It’s a low-wattage list. All 11 players will spend the offseason on the 90-man roster but have a hard time cracking the 53 next summer.
