Titans hired Nick Holz, formerly of the Jaguars, as the team’s offensive coordinator.
Holz was Jacksonville’s passing game coordinator in 2023 and has experience as UNLV’s OC. The Jaguars pass game was underwhelming for much of the 2023 season, and it’s unclear if Holz will call plays for the Titans, or if new head coach Brian Callahan will take on those duties. It’s clear that the Titans — who under Mike Vrabel were one of the NFL’s run heaviest teams — will be more balanced or perhaps pass heavy in 2024.

NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reports the Titans have requested an interview with Jaguars passing game coordinator Nick Holz for their offensive coordinator vacancy.
As Pelissero reports out in his post, Holz worked with Titans HC Brian Callahan during their time with the Raiders and is considered a top candidate for the offensive coordinator role. Holz was with the Raiders from 2012 through 2021, then spent 2022 at UNLV before being hired by the Jaguars in 2023. Jacksonville’s offensive finished ninth in total passing yards last season and was 14th in EPA per dropback. The Titans have some work to do at the quarterback position ahead of next season, with Malik Willis and Will Levis being the only two under contract at this time. Neither should be considered a lock to be the starter in 2024, which will be something for Callahan and his new staff to decide on once they are in place.
