Free agent tight end Foster Moreau has agreed to terms with the Texans, Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football reports.

Moreau, who turns 29 in May, will join a tight ends room that has Dalton Schultz as the starter.

The Saints added Noah Fant to the position to replace Moreau.

Moreau played 11 games for the Saints in 2025 after missing time at the beginning of the season on the physically unable to perform list and at the end of the season with an ankle injury. He caught seven passes for 59 yards.

He spent the past three seasons in New Orleans after signing as a free agent in 2023.

Moreau was with the Raiders for his first four seasons.

He has appeared in 104 games in his seven seasons, making 151 receptions for 1,722 yards and 18 touchdowns.

Report: NO adds to offense with Etienne, Edwards
Chris Simms and Mike Florio react to the New Orleans Saints reportedly bolstering the offense with both Travis Etienne Jr. and David Edwards in free agency.

The Browns are adding a tight end.

Per Mike Garafolo of NFL Media, Cleveland has agreed to terms with Jack Stoll on a one-year deal.

Stoll, 28, appeared in 15 games with four starts for the Saints last season. He caught six passes for 46 yards with a touchdown. He was on the field for 209 offensive snaps and 132 special teams snaps.

Stoll entered the league as an undrafted free agent in 2021. He’s played a total of 76 games for the Eagles, Dolphins, and Saints, catching 29 passes for 239 yards.

The Panthers lost free agent center Cade Mays on Monday when he agreed to a deal with the Lions. They replaced Mays on Tuesday by agreeing to terms on a one-year deal worth up to $4.75 million with Luke Fortner, Tom Pelissero of NFL Media reports.

Fortner, who turns 28 in May, played last season in New Orleans after a trade from Jacksonville on Aug. 17. He had taken a pay cut to remain with the Jaguars before the trade.

He entered the NFL as a third-round pick of the Jaguars in 2022, and he started every game for the team in his first two seasons. Fortner, though, made no starts in 2024.

In New Orleans, he played all 17 games, with 10 starts.

The Texans are trading for Saints punter Kai Kroeger, Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports. The teams will swap late-round picks, with the Saints receiving Houston’s sixth-rounder in 2028 and the Texans receiving New Orleans’ seventh-rounder that same year.

Kroeger, 23, signed with the Saints as an undrafted free agent out of South Carolina last year.

He finished his rookie season averaging 44.8 yards on 56 punts, with a 37.3-yard net. Kroeger landed 18 punts inside the 20, while getting two punts blocked.

The Texans are replacing veteran Tommy Townsend, who had an up-and-down season. He averaged 47.6 yards per punt with a net of 41.6.

Houston also extended the contract of kicker Ka’imi Fairbairn on Tuesday.

Linebacker Kaden Elliss is heading back to the Big Easy.

According to multiple reports, Elliss has agreed to a three-year, $33 million contract with the Saints. Elliss began his NFL career with the team in 2019 and has spent the last three seasons with their NFC South rivals in Atlanta.

Elliss was a 2019 seventh-round pick in New Orleans and progressed from a special teamer to having a role on defense before leaving for the Falcons. He started every game for the last three seasons and compiled 380 tackles, 12.5 sacks, two interceptions, two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery in that action.

The Saints will be hoping to see a similar impact on their defense once Elliss is able to officially sign with the team.

Seahawks receiver Rashid Shaheed entered free agency on Monday. He decided to stay put.

Agent Drew Rosenhaus has announced that Shaheed will re-sign with Seattle. It’s a three-year, $51 million deal, with $34.7 million in guarantees.

The Seahawks acquired Shaheed from the Seahawks during the 2025 season for a fourth- and fifth-round pick.

While Shaheed had a significant impact as a returner and a deep threat, he was targeted only 26 times in nine regular-season games, with 15 catches. In nine games with the Saints, Shaheed was on the field for 74 percent of the offensive snaps. During nine games with Seattle, he was on the field for 48 percent of the offense snaps.

Shaheed also had 13 punt returns, including one touchdown, and 14 kickoff returns, including one touchdown, with the Seahawks.

The Saints are adding a tight end for quarterback Tyler Shough to throw to in 2026.

NFL Media reports that Noah Fant has agreed to terms with the team. It’s a two-year deal for Fant in New Orleans with no financial terms reported.

The Saints have Juwan Johnson coming back as their top tight end, but Foster Moreau and Taysom Hill are both set for free agency.

Fant had 34 catches for 288 yards and three touchdowns with the Bengals last season. He spent three seasons with the Seahawks and three with the Broncos before heading to Cincinnati as a free agent last offseason. He has 334 catches for 3,593 yards and 18 touchdowns for his career.

The Saints landed a new punter in the early hours of the free agent negotiating window.

Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that they have agreed to sign Ryan Wright. It is a four-year agreement worth $14 million and includes $8 million in guarantees.

Wright will make the move to New Orleans after spending his first four NFL seasons with the Vikings. He’s appeared in every game for the team since joining the team and averaged a career-best 44.5 net yards per kick during the 2025 season.

Kai Kroeger was the Saints’ punter in 2025, but the commitment to Wright will likely lead to him moving on at some point this offseason.

The Titans are adding to their secondary.

According to multiple reports, cornerback Alontae Taylor has agreed to join Tennessee.

NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport notes the deal is worth $60 million with $42 million guaranteed over three years.

Taylor, 27, just completed his rookie contract with the Saints. A second-round pick in 2022, Taylor appeared in all 17 games in each of the last three seasons.

In 2025, Taylor finished with 83 total tackles, 11 passes defensed, two interceptions, 2.0 sacks, and seven tackles for loss.

The cornerback has recorded 7.0 sacks, 21 tackles for loss, four interceptions, and 52 passes defensed over the course of his career.

He’s appeared in a total of 64 games with 53 starts over the last four years.

With the Saints adding running back Travis Etienne on a reported four-year, $52 million deal, Alvin Kamara’s nine-year run with the team could be ending.

Kamara’s recent restructuring didn’t come with a signing bonus, and the final year of his contract carries only $3 million in injury guarantees. He could be traded; he also could be released.

The 31-year-old Kamara was a third-round pick in 2017. In 2025, he had a career-low 471 rushing yards and a career-low 186 receiving yards in 11 games.

Kamara has been a fixture in New Orleans for nine seasons. The investment made on Monday in Etienne could lead to an end of the road for Kamara with the Saints.

If/when he goes, it’ll be interesting to see whether Sean Payton, who became smitten with Kamara during the 2017 pre-draft process, makes a play for a reunion with Kamara.
