49ers QB Kurtis Rourke was released from the hospital Thursday night

The 49ers shared an update on quarterback Kurtis Rourke on Friday morning.

Rourke was taken to the hospital after suffering a rib injury in Thursday night’s game against the Titans because he was having trouble breathing. The 49ers announced that Rourke was checked out and released later in the evening.

Rourke was a seventh-round pick in 2025 and he spent his rookie year on the non-football injury list as he recovered from a torn ACL he suffered in his final season at Indiana.

Rourke started on Thursday and went 12-of-14 for 101 yards before being forced out of the game. Adrian Martinez played the rest of the way with Brock Purdy and Mac Jones getting the night off.
