The six-year deal signed by Rams defensive end Robert Quinn reportedly pays a total of $66 million. Per a league source, the new money consists of $56.8 million; a healthy annual average of $14.2 million on the four new years.
Quinn also received $15 million at signing, with rolling guarantees that convert from injury-only to full guarantees. Once the full details of the deal are known, it’ll be clear how much of the $41 million is truly guaranteed as of today.
A top-20 pick in 2011, Quinn has become one of the best young defensive ends in the NFL. While J.J. Watt secured a much more lucrative deal from the Texans, Quinn will be eligible for another contract two years before Watt.
