The San Diego Chargers were looking for a camp arm when they signed quarterback Kyle Boller as a street free agent on Friday. But Boller doesn’t want to play football anymore.

Kevin Acee of the Union-Tribune San Diego reports that Boller, 31, has retired.

The Chargers are now back in the market for a camp arm.

Boller’s NFL career ends after eight seasons. The 19th overall pick in the 2003 draft, Boller finishes with a 48:54 touchdown-to-interception ratio and 56.7 completion rate. He went 20-27 in 47 career starts.
