A Football Life returns for sixth season

a_football_life

Apart from televising live games, the best stuff that appears on NFL Network (by far) comes from the series dubbed A Football Life. Produced by NFL Films, the collection of one-hour documentaries return for a sixth season, with 13 different NFL figures getting an in-depth look at their careers.

The debut comes on September 16, featuring Hall of Famer Curtis Martin. A week later, the story of Rodney Harrison will be told. Then comes Chad Johnson (September 30), Hall of Famer Steve Young (October 7), Hall of Famer Brett Favre (October 21), and the late Pat Tillman (October 28).

Remaining episodes for the coming season focus on Mike Vick, Hall of Famer Jim Brown, Steve Smith Sr., Hall of Famer Troy Aikman, Charles Woodson, Hall of Famer Kevin Greene, and Hall of Famer Chuck Noll.

It’s a great roster of stories to tell. But it only makes more glaring the fact that an episode was devoted to Matt Millen before any of the folks listed above got theirs.
