Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez unexpectedly missed his team’s Week Eight game in London due to an aggravation of an ankle injury that caused him to miss three games. He unexpectedly missed practice on Tuesday due to the fact that an expecting mother gave birth.
Via Mike Rodak of ESPNBoston.com, Hernandez missed practice on his 23rd birthday because it also was the day of the birth of his first son. Hernandez’s brother, University of Miami grad assistant D.J. Hernandez, disclosing the stork sighting on Twitter.
It’s not known whether Hernandez would have been able to practice due to the ankle, if he were present. The Patriots are preparing to host the Bills on Sunday. The Pats had a bye in Week Nine.
