Peyton Manning needed the weekend off to rest. Adam Gase needed it to look for his next job.

According to Michael Silver of the NFL Network, the Broncos offensive coordinator (Gase, not Manning) will interview with the Falcons and 49ers on Friday in Denver. That goes along with a Saturday meeting with the Bears, giving him a full weekend.

The team’s he’s interviewing with all have something in common, other than a weekend in the Rocky Mountains.

All have quarterbacks they’ve made significant investments in, and it’s worth noting that Gase hasn’t been linked to other vacancies where that isn’t the case. He turned down a chance to interview for the Browns job last year, as well.

Working with Manning can spoil a guy, or at least allow him the luxury of being picky.
