Last month, ESPN unexpectedly included NFL Network reporter Tom Pelissero in the latest round of layoffs, given that he had a year left on his existing NFLN deal. He has quickly found a landing spot.
Netflix has announced that Pelissero will work as a sideline reporter and NFL Insider for the streamer’s five-game slate in 2026.
He’ll also co-host The Ringer NFL Show, with appearances on other NFL podcasts produced by The Ringer. He’ll also make a weekly appearance on The Bill Simmons Podcast.

Pelissero had one year left on his contract with ESPNFL. Per a source with knowledge of the situation, ESPN released him from the balance of the deal.
