Washington has reportedly waived one of its defensive backups.
Via ESPN’s Adam Caplan, agent Brett Tessler announced Saturday morning that Washington had released outside linebacker Gabe Miller, a second-year pro from Oregon State.
Miller, 26, appeared in Washington’s first four regular season games as a reserve. He played 19 special teams snaps and three defensive snaps in the club’s 45-14 loss to the Giants on Thursday night.
Miller (6-3, 250) was listed as the top backup to Ryan Kerrigan at left outside linebacker. If there is no corresponding signing on Saturday, Washington will have an open roster spot to fill.
