Andre Ellington expected to miss Sunday night, Patrick Peterson should play

during their NFL game at Levi’s Stadium on November 29, 2015 in Santa Clara, California.

The Cardinals had seven players listed as questionable on Friday’s injury report, leaving them with several decisions to make before Sunday night’s game against the Eagles kicks off.

The outlook for those decisions looks better on defense than it does in the offensive backfield. Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that cornerbacks Patrick Peterson and Jerraud Powers are both expected to play in Philadelphia.

Peterson missed Wednesday’s practice and was limited the rest of the week due to an ankle injury while Powers has missed the last two games because of a calf injury. Justin Bethel has started in his place, but should be able to move back into his regular role as the Cardinals try to nail down both the NFC West and a first-round bye this week.

Running back Andre Ellington has also missed the last two games, but he’s not expected to join Powers in a return to the lineup. He practiced on Friday, but his toe injury kept him off the field the rest of the week and it appears Week 16 will provide him with a better chance of rejoining David Johnson in the backfield.
