The Cardinals are hanging onto a 24-16 lead over the Saints in the fourth quarter but they may have to finish without their starting running back.

Andre Ellington was just helped off the field, after going down without contact.

Ellington just collapsed as he neared the line of scrimmage after taking the handoff, with no apparent reason. He was then helped off the field by trainers, walking slowly. The Cardinals then carted him to the locker room, and the team announced he was questionable with a knee injury.

In his absence, the Cardinals are turning first to veteran free agent pickup Chris Johnson, who popped a 12-yard run, showing he’s still got some pop. How much he has, and how much they’ll need him to have, remains to be seen.
