The Dolphins are still processing the news of Mike Pouncey’s injury, and sorting through the internal options.
But one of the veterans on the market is taking a proactive approach.
According to Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald, former All-Pro center Andre Gurode has reached out to the Dolphins, though they must have been screening calls and never got back with him.
The 35-year-old Gurode was once one of the top centers in the game when he was with the Cowboys, but has only started nine games the past three seasons with the Ravens, Bears and Raiders.
The Dolphins seem to be doing due diligence on the list of available veterans, but haven’t made a move yet.
