Steelers coach Mike Tomlin had no problem with Antonio Brown mounting the goalpost at Heinz Field after last Sunday night’s punt return touchdown.
The NFL wasn’t quite as happy with Brown’s choice of celebration. Brown, who jumped up to grab the goalpost with his legs wrapped around it and then slid to the ground, said Wednesday that he’s already heard from the league about a fine.
“I got a little fine for it,” Brown said, via Mark Kaboly of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review. “They didn’t like it too much.”
Kaboly reports that Brown has been fined $11,576 as a result of the celebration, which also drew a 15-yard penalty for using the goalpost as a prop. He’s listed as the No. 1 punt returner on the depth chart for this week’s game against the Bengals with Jacoby Jones in the doghouse after a pair of blunders against the Colts.
