Back from Connecticut, off to Canton

I’m starting to miss the days of simply doing this gig while sitting in the basement wearing boxers and an old Pirates T-shirt with holes in it.

After an up-and-back to Connecticut to guest-host The Dan Patrick Show (thanks again to Paulie, Fritzy -- or is it “Fritzie”? -- Seton, and McLovin’ for carrying me for three hours, and thanks again to Cris Collinsworth, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, Rich Eisen, Mike Klis, and Al Michaels for filling up chunks of the time with their voices instead of mine), I got home last night to unpack, eat, post a blurb, sleep, post a couple more blurbs, re-pack, and then hit the road for Ohio.

We’re heading to a Browns scrimmage at 1:00 p.m. ET, and then to the Hall of Fame induction ceremony tonight. Tomorrow night, it’s the Hall of Fame game. (On NBC.)

I’m not sure what the proper dress code is in the press box for a scrimmage. Hopefully, boxers and an old Pirates T-shirt with holes in it will be acceptable.

Meanwhile, Rosenthal and MDS will be taking over while I’m on the road, and we’ll be posting items dedicated to each of the new Hall of Famers. So check with us throughout the day.
