Bears hold off Steelers 31-28

The Steelers had a chance in the end, but the Bears held on for a 31-28 win on Sunday.

Pittsburgh reached the Chicago 47 in the waning seconds, but Mason Rudolph’s pass on fourth-and-6 was tipped at the line by Grady Jarrett and fell incomplete.

The Bears improved to 8-3, while the Steelers fell to 6-5 with a second consecutive loss.

The Steelers, playing without Aaron Rodgers, outgained the Bears 345 to 328. Rudolph went 24-of-31 for 171 yards with a touchdown and an interception.

DK Metcalf scored on a 6-yard run; T.J. Watt had a strip-sack of Caleb Williams that Nick Herbig recovered in the end zone; and Pat Freiermuth caught a 3-yard touchdown pass.

Williams threw three touchdown passes, going 19-of-35 for 239 yards. DJ Moore scored twice on catches of 5 and 25 yards, and Colston Loveland caught a 12-yard score.

Moore had five catches for 64 yards, and Rome Odunze caught three for 53.

Kyle Monangai had 12 carries for 48 yards and a touchdown.
