The Bengals are back to even on their own free agents today.
After losing wide receiver Marvin Jones to Detroit, it appears they’re hanging onto safety George Iloka.
According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, the Bengals are “closing in” on a new deal with Iloka and are expected to keep him off the market.
Of course, nothing’s official until it’s official, but Iloka had plenty of interest from others.
The soon-to-be-26-year-old safety was going to have a strong market, but the Bengals apparently made a strong enough offer to get him to ignore them to stay home.
