Florio mentioned on Tuesday that Bengals fans responded well to the team’s increased efforts to sell tickets this week.
That response has resulted in an official sellout, according to the team. The game will be played on air in Cincinnati, making it only the second home game of the year to be televised locally.
The Bengals-Steelers game was also sold out last month. The Bengals were underdogs in that narrow loss, and they are underdogs this week against the Ravens. This game, of course, has even more at stake with a trip to the playoffs on the line for the Bengals.
Cincinnati’s nine-win season has been one of the truly surprising stories of the year. This is only their third winning season of the last 21 years.
Andy Dalton and A.J. Green still lack that signature win against a great opponent, though. Sunday’s game would be a thrilling time to pull one off.
