The Bengals continue to look to upgrade their quarterback position, by claiming a guy who lost his job to Christian Ponder.
Per the league’s transaction wire, the Bengals claimed quarterback Jeff Driskel, who was waived yesterday by the 49ers.
The Bengals were carrying just two quarterbacks, Andy Dalton and A.J. McCarron.
The 49ers might have wanted to hang onto the 2016 sixth-rounder from Louisiana Tech on their practice squad, but he found a better-paying gig on an active roster, though he probably won’t be active on game days.
