The Cincinnati Bengals announced Wednesday that they have finalized rookie running back Dan Herron’s four-year contract.
Financial details are not available. Herron, a sixth-round pick out of Ohio State, rushed for 1,155 yards as a junior before managing just 678 yards during a suspension-shortened senior campaign.
Herron measured in at 5-foot-10, 213 during February’s Scouting Combine, before running a 4.66 forty time. He’ll compete for snaps behind new Bengals starting tailback BenJarvus Green-Ellis and change-of-pace complement Bernard Scott.
