Today’s first-ever two-hour edition of Pro Football Talk on NBC Sports Network included a visit from Buccaneers defensive end Michael Bennett.
Bennett, an unrestricted free agent, pegs his chances of staying with the Bucs at a low number.
“I don’t know, 20-to-40 percent,” Bennett said. “It’s not 100 percent. It’s 20-to-40 percent. I’m not sure how it’s gonna play out but it’s a business and hopefully the best things happen.”
The chances of Bennett staying are likely lower than that, given his assessment of their offer on a long-term deal. “It wasn’t good obviously,” Bennett said. “If it was good I would have took it and been a Buccaneer but so I’m just moving on and seeing what’s out there for me.”
He said “a lot of teams” are interested. We should find out soon who they are.
