Bills add Michael Buchanan

The cross-pollination of the AFC East continues.

The latest move from one team in the division to another comes from the Bills, who have signed defensive end/linebacker Michael Buchanan. The team announced the move on Tuesday morning.

A seventh-round pick of the Patriots in 2013, Buchanan played in 18 games over two seasons with the Patriots.

To make room for Buchanan, the Bills cut punter Spencer Roth. Who shouldn’t be upset by the move, given that it’s the life he’s chosen.

To avoid the same fate as Roth, Buchanan will need to step it up. The Bills are loaded at the pass-rush position, which will make it hard for Buchanan to get from the 90-man roster to the final 53.
