Sammy Watkins wants all the targets he can get. And if the Texans are going to keep covering him casually, the Bills better keep throwing it to him.
Watkins just capped an impressive opening drive with a wide-open touchdown grab, giving his side a 7-0 lead over the Texans.
Watkins was singled up with Texans rookie corneerback Kevin Johnson, but Johnson never really contested him off the line, allowing Watkins an easy score.
The Bills drive hadn’t previously included Watkins, however, as they went the other 50 yards on six plays by running the ball.
Practice-squad call-up Mike Gillislee popped a 30-yarder, putting them in position for Watkins to do what he’s best at.
