A few hours after announcing he was making a free agent visit, the Bills have announced the signing of veteran tight end Jim Dray.
Dray, 29, played in every game the past two seasons for the Browns and started 16. He had six catches for 61 yards last season and was released last month.
For his career, Dray has played in 87 games, made 36 starts and has caught 56 passes for 605 yards and three touchdowns.
Bills Offensive Coordinator Greg Roman was Dray’s position coach at Stanford in 2009, when Dray earned second-team All-PAC 12 honors. Dray was a seventh-round pick of the Cardinals in 2010.
