Brad Childress didn’t know who Josh Gordon was

Browns offensive coordinator Brad Childress, who once vowed to have a “kick-ass” offense in Minnesota, has gotten a kick in the ass offensively from a rookie about whom Chilly recently knew nothing.

In July, the Browns picked receiver Josh Gordon in the second round of the supplemental draft. “I got off a cruise boat and somebody said, ‘We signed Josh Gordon,’ and I said, ‘Who’s Josh Gordon?’” Childress explained to the media on Thursday.

Childress knows who Josh Gordon is now. And if he keeps playing like he has in recent weeks, Childress will be the guy who picks Gordon up from the airport.
