The Jets are continuing their perpetual search for offensive weapons by taking a look at one of the fastest guys on the board.
Central Florida wide receiver Breshad Perriman is visiting the Jets today, a league source tells PFT.
Perriman’s not the polished receiver some of the other top prospects this year might be, but he has the kind of top-end speed to make him attractive to many. Putting up a reported 4.19-second 40 at his pro day, along with his 20.9-yard per reception average is going to make him a hot property.
Whether it’s enough to justify the sixth pick is doubtful, but if he falls to the late first or early second round in a deep receiver group, there would be plenty of teams trying to get into position to take him.
He’s also worked out for or visited the Panthers, Bears, Lions, Steelers and Eagles recently.
