The Broncos’ owner for the last three decades is the franchise’s newest member of the club’s Ring of Fame.

Denver will honor Pat Bowlen at a halftime ceremony during the club’s Sunday, November 1 game vs. the Packers, the club announced Wednesday.

“Pat Bowlen’s iconic, three-decade ownership of the Broncos includes an extraordinary winning tradition and a positive impact in our community,” Broncos president and CEO Joe Ellis said in a team-issued statement. “He has also had a profound influence on the growth of the league through his tireless work and dedication serving its various committees and initiatives.”

The 71-year-old Bowlen stepped away from day-to-day operations of the Broncos last year because of Alzheimer’s disease. He founded the Ring of Fame early in his tenure as Broncos owner, which has included two Super Bowl titles.

“It’s very humbling for my family to see Pat receive this honor for everything he has meant to the Broncos during his 32 years as owner,” Annabel Bowlen, the wife of Pat Bowlen, said Wednesday.
