Toben Opurum’s stay with the Denver Broncos was very brief.
Opurum, who was claimed off waivers from the New Orleans Saints on Tuesday, failed his physical with the Broncos on Thursday and was placed back on waivers.
It would have been a chance for Opurum to reunite with head coach Gary Kubiak and offensive coordinator Rick Dennison. Opurum spent time with the Houston Texans when Kubiak and Dennison coached there.
Opurum played two games with the Saints last season and saw all of his action on special teams. He spent most of the year on the practice squad. He’s also had stints on practice squads with the Texans and Kansas City Chiefs.
