The Broncos appear to be on the verge of losing defensive end Malik Jackson to the Jaguars, which isn’t their choice but was an expected development this offseason.

It would be their choice to part ways with starting right guard Louis Vasquez, however, as he’s under contract for one more season. According to multiple reports, that’s just what they’re doing and Vasquez will hit the open market after his release becomes official.

Vasquez was set to make $5.5 million during the 2016 season and the Broncos will get that money back under the cap, although they will be left with $1.25 million in dead money thanks to the $5 million signing bonus that Vasquez got when he signed with Denver in 2013.

Starting left guard Evan Mathis is set to become a free agent on Wednesday, which could leave the Broncos with a very different offensive line than the one they deployed while winning the Super Bowl last month.
