Broncos sign long snapper David Binn

Hours after they declared long snapper Lonnie Paxton out for Saturday night’s game at New England, the Broncos have picked up a longtime NFL long snapper who’s been out of the league since before the start of the regular season.

The Broncos have announced the signing of long snapper David Binn, who spent 17 seasons with the Chargers before he was released in August.

The 39-year-old Binn is the longest-tenured player in Chargers franchise history. He hasn’t played in a regular-season game since suffering an injury in Week One of the 2010 regular season.

To make room for Binn on the Roster, the Broncos waived fullback Austin Sylvester.
