The Browns have dumped another 2012 draft pick onto the Colts. Hopefully, this deal will turn out better for the Colts than the last one.
Both teams have announced that Cleveland has shipped defensive lineman Billy Winn to Indy in exchange for a conditional 2017 draft pick. The Colts specifically called it a “late-round” selection; the Browns added no such elaboration.
A sixth-round pick three years ago, Winn has appeared in 40 regular-season games with 18 starts. He has the ability to play multiple spots on the defensive line, and the Colts desperately need help when it comes to stopping the run, especially in light of the loss of defensive tackle Arthur Jones for the season.
