The Buccaneers have put one of the CFL’s top receivers through a workout.
Montreal Alouettes wideout Duron Carter went through a tryout for Tampa Bay on Tuesday, a league source told PFT’s Mike Florio.
The 23-year-old Carter finished third in the CFL in receiving yards in 2014 (1,030). He is the son of Hall of Fame wide receiver Cris Carter. Duron Carter (6-5, 205) had collegiate stints at Ohio State and Alabama.
Carter can first sign with an NFL team on February 10.
The Buccaneers have a solid WR tandem in Mike Evans and Vincent Jackson, and the club recently signed third receiver Louis Murphy to a new contract.
