The Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who focused on improving their interior defensive line during last year’s draft, have started to beef up the outside of the line by picking defensive end Adrian Clayborn.
Clayborn, who played much better in 2009 than 2010, was picked despite the team’s focus on character. Last year, he pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct after an altercation with a cab driver.
Coincidentally, one of the various items on Aqib Talib’s rap sheet includes an altercation with a cab driver.
But Clayborn has been forthcoming and not belligerent when discussing the incident, and we got a good feeling from him during a visit to PFT Live.
Bottom line? He’ll make the Bucs better in 2011, and beyond.
