Bucs cover for Cecil Shorts injury by adding Freddie Martino to roster

There are teams other than the Vikings making roster moves to cover for injuries today, believe it or not.

The Buccaneers announced they promoted wide receiver Freddie Martino from their practice squad, waiving linebacker Josh Keyes to make the roster spot.

Among their other injuries last week, the Bucs lost Cecil Shorts, and they only had four other active wide receivers, so they needed reinforcements there.

Martino was with the Falcons in 2014 (when Bucs coach Dirk Koetter was offensive coordinator there) and was signed by the Bucs in May. He spent last year on the Eagles practice squad, and tied for the Bucs team lead in receptions this year during the preseason.
