The Cardinals have signed exclusive rights free agent nose tackle Alameda Ta’amu, the club said Thursday.
Ta’amu, 23, appeared in 14 games for Arizona, notching seven tackles. He suffered a torn ACL in the Cardinals’ regular season finale against San Francisco.
A fourth-round pick of Pittsburgh in 2012, the 6-foot-3, 348-pound Ta’amu was released by the Steelers at the end of the 2013 preseason. He can potentially test restricted free agency next offseason and unrestricted free agency after the 2015 season.
