Cardinals rookie Jeremiyah Love had 14 touches, 73 yards in first half

The Cardinals selected Jeremiyah Love with the third overall pick in April. It made the Notre Dame product the highest-drafted running back since the Giants selected Saquon Barkley second overall in 2018.

Love showed why in his first preseason action.

Love, who didn’t play in the Hall of Fame Game on Saturday, had 11 rushing attempts for 58 yards and three receptions for 15 yards in the first half Thursday night.

His night included a hurdle of Raiders cornerback Greedy Vance.

The Cardinals led 21-14 at halftime and have increased their lead to 24-14 in the third quarter. Jacoby Brissett and Gardner Minshew completed all 15 passes for 123 yards and three touchdowns. Minshew finally threw an incompletion in the third quarter.
