The Cardinals are bringing a veteran defensive lineman in for a look.
But it’s highly unlikely he’ll just leverage them for frequent flier miles and a new deal from his old team this time.
According to Kent Somers of the Arizona Republic, the Cardinals are bringing in Tommy Kelly for a look, after he was released by the Patriots yesterday.
The Patriots struggled to replace Kelly last year when he tore his ACL, but obviously thought he wasn’t the same player now.
The longtime Raiders defensive tackle, now 33, would help the Cards fill the void left when Darnell Dockett tore his ACL recently.
They tried to sign Steelers veteran Brett Keisel, but he stiffed them in favor of a new deal in Pittsburgh.
