Cardinals-Vikings one-liners

Prior to the Vikings’ 27-24 overtime win, owner Zygi Wilf told reporters, “Don’t write us off. You’ve done it before.”

Vikings WR Bernard Berrian had nine catches; Vikings QB Brett Favre said he told Berrian to expect a lot of passes going his way: “I told Bernard before the game, I said, ‘Bernard, you got 10 catches today,’ " Favre said. “A typical receiver, he said, ‘Hey, great.’ ”

Minnesota’s no-huddle offense paid big dividends late in the game.

Vikings WR Percy Harvin toughed it out through a badly sprained ankle and had career highs in catches (nine) and receiving yards (126).

Before the game Vikings fans were talking about firing Childress; after the game they were talking about making the playoffs.

Said Cardinals S Kerry Rhodes of dominating the game for the first 50 minutes only to come up short, “For a while there, it was one of the most complete games we’ve played.”

Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald echoed those sentiments: “We had them down, man. We had them.”

Things are so bad in Arizona that they’re clamoring for Donovan McNabb.

Said LaRod Stephens-Howling of his 96-yard kickoff return touchdown, “I set it up a little bit, but it’s those guys in front of me. You have a lot of confidence going into it when the guys in front of you want to go to the end zone just as much as you do.”

Said Cardinals DB Adrian Wilson of being beaten by Visanthe Shiancoe for a last-minute touchdown, “I thought the ball was going to be coming sooner. I didn’t think it was going to be on point like it was. It was kind of a money pass. I’ll have to take that.”
