Seahawks rookie running back C.J. Prosise has a “scapula issue” and will miss some time, Seahawks coach Pete Carroll told reporters after Sunday’s game.
Carroll said Prosise could return this year “but it will be a while.” The Seahawks figure to know more about his status in the coming days.
The Seahawks have been hit hard by injuries at running back -- so hard that rookie backup quarterback Trevone Boykin was playing running back late in Sunday’s win over the Eagles.
Prosise had a 72-yard touchdown run Sunday before suffering the injury. Thomas Rawls, who was returning from a foot injury, came in and got 14 carries for 57 yards in the game. Troymaine Pope, just called up from the practice squad last week, also got two carries.
Pope also was injured during the game.
The Seahawks cut Christine Michael last week with Prosise emerging and Rawls returning. Rookie running back Alex Collins was inactive for Sunday’s game.
