Carson Beck impressed in his preseason debut during last week’s Hall of Fame Game.
But his next time on the field will have to wait.
Per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, Beck will not play in tonight’s matchup against the Raiders after suffering a rib injury last Thursday night.
Beck was able to practice all week through soreness from the injury, which is not considered serious. But the team has elected to keep him out of tonight’s game as a precaution.
Beck completed 15-of-19 passes for 188 yards with a touchdown against the Panthers last week.
Head coach Mike LaFleur announced earlier this week that Jacoby Brissett and other healthy starters would play against the Raiders. Arizona also has Gardner Minshew and Kedon Slovis on its roster at quarterback.
