The Chargers injury report for Monday night’s game in Kansas City isn’t out quite yet, but we already know that the team is expected to be without a few of its key players.

Pro Bowl guard Kris Dielman is out after suffering a scary concussion and seizure last week. Norv Turner also admitted that running back Mike Tolbert is likely out, as is starting outside linebacker Shaun Phillips.

“You lose a guy that you look at as your best pass rusher and probably our most experienced player in terms of our front,” Turner said. “Yeah, that’s a concern.”

Phillips is the best player on a very ordinary-looking Chargers defense. He has started 61 games; his absence will greatly hurt a poor Chargers pass rush.

Florio and I both picked the Chiefs to win on Monday night. I feel better about the selection after all this injury news.
