The Chargers are making some changes in their front office, with owner and team president Dean Spanos giving his sons increased responsibility.

The club announced Monday that A.G. Spanos has been appointed the president of business operations, with John Spanos the president of football operations. Both men had already been working in those club areas before being named to their new roles by their father on Monday.

Dean Spanos, 64, remains the Chargers’ chairman of the board, the club said.

According to ESPN’s Jim Trotter, Dean Spanos will continue to oversee the club’s push for a new stadium as his sons move into prominent decision-making roles.

“It’s their decision and their time,” Dean Spanos told ESPN of his sons. A.G. Spanos is 36, while John Spanos is one year younger, according to ESPN.
