Last season, while Broncos linebacker Elvis Dumervil was out for the year due to a pectoral injury, he was cited for assault and disturbing the peace after getting into an argument with a parking lot attendant at Invesco Field.
Dumervil had forgotten his player credential, and the attendant wouldn’t allow Dumervil to enter the lot.
Dumervil called a team official and quickly received clearance to enter the lot, but the attendant filed a complaint.
According to Mike Klis of the Denver Post, all charges have been dropped.
“”He never should have been charged in the first place,” said Harvey Steinberg, who has represented virtually every member of the organization who ever has gotten into trouble, including Dumervil. “And the press coverage should be the same now that his case has been dismissed as when he was charged.”
Trial had been set for April 5.
